php - Advertising or redirecting to new website -


the website of our institution supports 30 languages , has 400,000 articles. it's global rank in alexa.com between 11000 11500 , on top 5 google result if body search on working. every day receive 200 emails people around world.

we developed new version of our website drupal different url. old url example.com/html/language/... new 1 language.example.com need somehow tell current users visit new website without loosing our global , google rank.

the straightforward solution modify header of our website , ask users visit new 1 our chief ask me examine redirecting method , see conclusions of doing going be.

i know if redirect every example.com/html/language/* language.example.com effect our global rank on google? won't redirection front page negative factor in google? 403 redirect? or there better solution our problem?

note: there no logical relationship between content of old website new one. mean there no mapping between contents when user visits content in old website there no way redirect him new website of same content. must redirected front page

positive factors are; backlinks, high traffic, correctly written meta tags, meta tags should related body content etc.

negative factors are; broken links, unrelated keywords, unexpected page content changes etc.

on situation;

  • first should redirect of pages new destination.
  • access google web master tools console.
  • send sitemap of new website.
  • checkout crawling errors tab , correct issues.
  • you won't face huge impact on alexa rank if redirect of pages correctly
  • checkout google index > content keywords should arrange new website protecting these keyword chart.

i think google web master tools crucial you. said can't things alexa rank.

*i don't recommend empty parent domain , using subdomain. subdomain here secondary contents.
