java - Is a LAMJ stack a possible environment? -
is possible use java instead of php linux, apache , mysql?
the 'lamp' stack not special thing, there lot of support in form or frameworks etc based on it. there no problem create application based on linux, apache, mysql , java (lamj) have totally different benefits , drawbacks lamp because java totally different php.
where mysql used database of choice java developers believe has shifted towards postgresql. folk nosql databases mongodb ties java frameworks want use. need sort of web container run java web application in. popular still web server tomcat think, use jetty. larger projects requiring more extensive application management support , clustering consider glassfish or jboss.
maybe should consider ltpj stack (linux tomcat postgresql java). think give more joy in way of community support.
