Confluence Connection Refused When Connecting to Jira -


first, have setup jira on box , installing confluence on same box. during setup of confluence after installs, trying connect jira pull in user groups. in url location jira, putting in http://jira-qa.mycompany.com , receiving following error.

connection refused. check if instance of jira 4.3 or later running on given url.

i confused because these 2 instances live on same box , on same lifecycle: qa. has experienced before?

did configure jira allow confluence instance connect it?

did follow steps described in "allowing other applications connect jira user management" documentation?
