css - Class selector containing a Percent sign SASS -

i have following class .\40-85%-shares-key need able use in stylesheet can't figure out how escape first digit unicode in order work.

i've tried this:

.\0034 0-85%-shares-key {}

but no luck

the percent sign special character in sass: means placeholder selector. placeholder selectors not found in final css.

generally speaking, should avoid using special characters percent sign in selectors. if need to, can escape backslash:

.\0034 0-60\%-shares-key { color: red; }

now valid in both sass , css.
