Can you use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express to manage a Google Cloud SQL database instance? -


my organisation looking create cloud database can queried customers , managed/accessed 5-6 people within organisation, supercede old rusty access database.

currently familiar environment of microsoft sql server management studio express , have transferred of our information local sql server.

having researched cloud server options online, amazon rds sql server seemed contender google cloud sql server seems cheaper database of our (really rather small) database.

the question is: can still use microsoft sql server management studio express administer , update our database on google cloud? apparently google cloud works mysql, different sql server microsoft uses understand it?

any insights/experiences appreciated!

google cloud sql offers mysql database only. microsoft sql server management tools not work it. if you're tied sql server, microsoft azure might better option.
