excel formula - Countif function for multiple criteria -


i trying create formula in excel count cells 3 criteria. example below: cell m3:m350 name, cell q3:q350 date, cell r3:r350 current step. need know how many times name amanda shows in current step of material review, , 30 days or less date in cell q3:q350. formula have been trying is: 

=countifs('active projects'!m3:m350,"amanda martin",'active   projects'!q3:q350,"<="&now+30,'active projects'!r3:r350,"*material review")

the answer keeps giving me 0, , should 1.

does know correct formula use? has been eating @ me week now, , have tried different variations, , still cannot not count dates older 30 days today.

please update formula follows:

=countifs('active projects'!m3:m350,"amanda martin",'active projects'!q3:q350,"<=" & today() + 30,'active projects'!r3:r350,"*material review")

structure have used date not correct:

=countifs('active projects'!m3:m350,"amanda martin",**'active projects'!q3:q350,"<="&now+30**,'active projects'!r3:r350,"*material review")

there should brackets () after now or today functions.
