.NET upgrade to a server with lower version -


we upgrading project .net-framework version 3.0 4.5. upgrade of code successful , plan publish app our servers.

our concern:

the server has .net-framework version 4.0-version installed , not version 4.5.

will issue?

short answer:

this definitively problem.

the .net-runtime version 4.0 cannot execute .net 4.5-code.

you should aware of support-timeframe .net 4.0 , .net 4.5 end on january 12, 2016. consider upgrade code , server @ least .net 4.5.2.
